Title: The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil
Role: Principal – Mr Piggy
My audition for Mr Piggy in The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil
This is my audition for the role of Mr Piggy in The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil using the requested Received Pronunciation or Posh British accent. Mr Piggy is the Mayor of the town. He represents the establishment/status quo and is threatened by this new music of the Beatles.
Lincoln Hudson (the actor who originated the role of Mr Piggy) coached me on my audition.

This is a GREAT show, even if you are NOT a huge Beatles fan. I highly recommend seeing this show. I have the remastered show CD and it is brilliant.

LOVE is a 2006 theatrical production by Cirque du Soleil which combines the re-produced and re-imagined music of the Beatles with an interpretive, circus-based artistic and athletic stage performance. The show plays at a specially built theatre at the Mirage in Las Vegas.
A joint venture between Cirque and the Beatles’ Apple Corps Ltd, it is the first theatrical production that Apple Corps Ltd. has partnered in. LOVE is written and directed by Dominic Champagne. Music directorsare Sir George Martin, producer of nearly all of the Beatles’ records, and his son, record producer Giles Martin. A soundtrack album of the show was released in November 2006.
New acts, costumes, choreography, technology and music bring a more vibrant and engaging experience to one of the most celebrated shows in the world. The three-time Grammy Award winning LOVE is a Rock ‘n’ Roll poem, inspired by the poetry of the lyrics and brought to life by a cast of world-class aerialists, acrobats and dancers. Music Director Giles Martin, son of the legendary Beatles producer, Sir George Martin, has heightened LOVE’s listening experience with a completely remixed soundtrack, noting “The show is the closest anyone can get to being in the studio with the band.”
