Synopsis: When 12 mysterious spacecraft appear around the world, linguistics professor Louise Banks (Amy Adams) is tasked with interpreting the language of the apparent alien visitors.

My Review: I was so looking forward to this movie. Amy Adams is one of my favorite actresses working today. I love science fiction movies. The trailer looked stylish. And then I saw the movie. Uggg. I felt like this was a job – trying to get to the end. I saw the ending coming about 10 min before. I felt trapped in a bad M Night Shyamalan movie (as if there is any other kind). This movie was totally unbelievable. I really liked the Art Direction and Motion Graphics of the aliens communicating, but as an acting vehicle – no. How could Amy Adams sign on to this? Didn’t she read the script?

Thank you Mr Paramount Pictures, Mr 21 Laps Entertainment, and Mr Cinemark for giving me access to this movie so I could make an intelligent and informed opinion when casting my vote on the 23rd Annual SAG Awards.
